Italian Horderve Mix

(Marinated Mozzarella, Olives, and Artichokes)

People seem to be under the impression that preparing for a great cocktail party means having a lot of different complex dishes, but the key is to have a few simple, delicious snacks that are easy to put together and can be made the night before. Plus, when people are gathering like this, you want something that is light and refreshing and can be easily passed around or left out for a couple of hours so you don’t have to worry about continually going back and forth from the kitchen.

What’s also great about this recipe is that it is actually a healthy snack, with a fair amount of good fats, and low carb at that, which means you can indulge completely guilt free!

We definitely recommend this recipe for Christmas or Thanksgiving gatherings with coworkers or friends, as it’s a great alternative to the typical holiday snack.


½ c olive oil

¼ c red wine vinegar

1 cloves garlic minced

1 tsp dried italian herbs

1 sprig fresh rosemary

1 lemon zested

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp red chili flakes

1 jar of marinated artichoke hearts

8 oz fresh mozzarella balls

2 c green olives


1) Mix all ingredients into one airtight container, allow ingredients to rest in the fridge for 12 hours. Serve on a pretty platter with toothpicks or mini forks.
