Crispy Vegan Brussel Sprouts

If you’re wanting to create a tasty snack for mid-afternoon or post-workout, this recipe is for you! The crunch of the brussel sprouts is absolutely satisfying, along with the salty flavors of the nutritional yeast.
For those that are new to nutritional yeast, we definitely recommend putting this on the top list of new ingredients to add to your recipes. Though most people are under the impression that only vegans use nutritional yeast, the truth is that everyone could benefit from this flavorful element, since it gives a healthy added boost of protein.
Ingredients:
1lb brussel sprouts
2 tbsp avocado oil
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
¼ tsp cayenne powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425* Wash brussel sprouts thoroughly, especially if they’ve just come from the farmer’s stand. Chop off ends where the stock is, allowing the leaves to break apart.
Once finished, place in a bowl and toss with avocado oil, nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, and cayenne powder.
Set seasoned sprouts on a baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Take out and turn them so they can be cooked on each side evenly. Place them back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes or until they have the right crunch for your taste buds.
